Celebrating Alaska Leadership Academy Graduates: Shaping Alaska’s Future

Alaska Policy Forum was proud to graduate nine Alaskans from our inaugural Alaska Leadership Academy in May. Graduates participated in eight months of leadership programming in 2022 and 2023 with experts from around the country. Training ranged from topics such as crisis management, public speaking, how to negotiate, teambuilding, Alaska’s statehood compact and constitution, and on-camera media training.

All graduates gave short speeches during graduation, expressing what they had learned. It was inspiring and exciting to hear from them directly. As part of the program, they each created short- and long-term leadership plans which will move these exceptional Alaskans into new roles within our state. It will be thrilling to see how these individuals help grow prosperity and freedom in the future.

The annual Alaska Leadership Academy is primarily funded by private donors who recognize the need for well-equipped thought leaders in our state. Next year’s program is being expanded and improved to create an even more influential pipeline. If you would like to support this program or nominate someone for the next cohort, please send us a note or give us a call at 907-334-5853. Applications are due August 1.

Congratulations to our graduates!
