ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Businesses will receive COVID-19 liability protection from customers for exposure to the virus while utilizing their establishments.

The protection is retroactive to March 2020 for businesses which follow state mandates and guidelines, and provides peace of mind concerning legal fees and negative publicity.

“APF talked to business owners once this passed, and they are so relieved. Our goal is for Alaskans to provide for their families and still be able to sleep at night without the fear of unnecessary and unfair lawsuits in the back of their minds. We are proud to support policy that supports out business owners.”

— Bethany Marcum, CEO at Alaska Policy Forum

APF was please to bring this issue to the forefront, working alongside the National Federation of Independent Business to promote policy that protects our local businesses.

Alaska Policy Forum is proud to take part in the effort to put The Great Land first and set out businesses and the economy they support back on track to growth and success.
