On July 15, APF top donors gathered for an Insiders’ Briefing in Wasilla to hear the latest news from Senator Dan Sullivan in an exclusive event. The Wall Street Journal‘s Kimberley Strassel interviewed Senator Sullivan, on topics ranging from where the state stands with COVID-19 and the economy to infrastructure and business liability protections.
Senator Sullivan has represented Alaska in the U.S. Senate since 2015. Kimberley Strassel is a member of The Wall Street Journal‘s esteemed editorial board and authors the “Potomac Watch” column for the newspaper.
When the formal interview ended, audience members were able to ask the Senator questions, and covered topics as varied as Space Force and post-modernism.
The event featured a surprise speaker, Jess Yescalis, who updated APF’s supporters on the Janus v. AFSCME Supreme Court ruling and the organization’s latest efforts to educate government workers about their First Amendment rights.
Preceding and following the event, attendees enjoyed refreshments and hors d’oeuvres outside on the beautiful day, overlooking the Knik Arm. APF supporters were able to stay late and take advantage of many opportunities to chat with Senator Sullivan and Kimberley Strassel.
