The Alaska Policy Forum has released the report card to the community for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District. Each school in the District is given a letter grade based on an average of the total student score on reading and math on the Standards Based Assessment (SBA) test. This report card is for the 2011-12 school year. (The 2012-13 scores are not available). We use the SBA scores because the State has determined that these are valid measurements of students’ progress in specific subject areas. We provide this report card to the community for transparency and accountability purposes. Parents can use this report card to determine if their school is doing well or if they should transfer their child to another school.
